A
quick response from Simon...
"Our proposal for the visitor permit is that residents will be permitted to either:
Purchase an annual permit at a cost of £45/year; or
Purchase individual daily permits in the form of a scratchcard at a cost of £2.50/day.
This provides maximum flexibility for residents whilst maintaining the integrity of the scheme. Visitors will still be permitted to park free of charge Monday-Friday 8am-6pm for a maximum period of 3 hours and for unlimited periods outside of these hours."
As for timing, there are a number of legal hoops to jump through, including another letter to consult residents, but if all goes smoothly the visitor permits should be introduced in August or September.
